Hands & Mind

We use the powerful tool of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® to help teams and individuals unleash their innate creative insights and perspectives.

The process uses LEGO® bricks as a creative medium due to its ease of use across a wide range of creative capabilities, allowing participants to quickly develop a common means of communicating complex ideas and relationships.

Through the "hands-on" creation of metaphors and stories, participants break out of their more "logical" thinking selves to see new patterns and relationships.

Successive Individual & Group "Builds" lead participants to shared understanding of the identified challenge and visualize complex ideas and relationships.

Connection through metaphor and story help participants find common understanding of their unique challenges.

Build

Using hands-on construction methods, participants create powerful and memorable metaphors that can quickly describe complex ideas and relationships. These metaphors can be joined to create "stories" that provide a visual representation of the challenge being addressed.

Each participant shares their story, using their construction as a means for directing focus and questions.

Through the use of physical models, quiet or more reserved participants find their voice and a safe way to share, ensuring all voices are heard.

Reflect

Each participant practices "active listening" skills, using the constructions to focus their attention and inquiry. By seeking to fully understand the "story" visualized in the construction, participants gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for different perspectives.
